The Afghan Hound is an incredibly beautiful breed of dog that can move with unmatched grace and elegance. We welcomed Jenny, our first afghan, into our home in November 2003.

One of the most intelligent dogs we have ever owned, Jenny settled in and has been an awesome addition.

She has a very sweet temperament and is wonderful with the dachshunds, both adults and with puppies. Jenny was bred by Barb Arndt (Panacea Afghans). Her dam is Ch. Panacea Untamed Heart and sire is Can.. Ch. Boxadan Light My Fire. We cannot imagine being without her!

Jenny won both her majors under breeder judges, both commenting on her beautiful front and overall type.

The 2nd (5 pts) and finishing major was under Roberta Hall (UK) at the Northern New Jersey Afghan Hounds Specialty show. In her critique she said:

"Beautiful black of all round excellent conformation. In good hard condition. Best of shoulders and fronts. Good topline well held. Balanced in rear. Elegant yet substantial with the correct reach and lift. Flagged a little towards the end. Beautiful type with the darkest of eyes and most typical of head. A credit to her owner. I understand a new champion on the day. Congratulations."
